Hohbach-Lewin Protective Services Division Manager, Kyle Haas, S.E. was the Project Manager for the physical security assessment of the existing U.S. Embassy Rome Compound in Roma, Italy.

The U.S. Department of State required security and blast performance expertise to facilitate high-level planning as to existing embassy compound’s future. A vulnerability assessment was performed with an emphasis on blast and physical security factors to establish baseline recommendations for stay-in-place and relocation options. Explosive, ballistic, and vehicle ramming threats were considered and retrofit concepts were provided to assist in Diplomatic Security’s scoring of various design directions.
