This peninsula residence is designed to reflect its natural surroundings. An organic effect is created by long span laminated decking spanning to gracefully curving glu-laminated beams supported by tree-like pole columns. With most of the structure exposed, structural connections were designed with curved plates and low profile screws. Structural creativity was also required in the design of curved beam steel moment frames and the cantilever wood pole columns. The architect was Stoecker & Northway and Red Horse Construction built the project.
