In collaboration with Swatt Miers Architects and IZAR Construction, Hohbach-Lewin provided Structural and Civil Engineering design services for this hillside 8,000 square foot contemporary home. Design challenges included a dramatic cantilever at the second story master bedroom, a “floating” walkway above the main living space and long spans to accommodate the large glass windows and doors. The sloping site required a network of retaining walls to complete the integration of indoor and outdoor space for this one of a kind masterpiece.
