Willow Glen Elementary School, New Classroom Building, San Jose, CA

Willow Glen Elementary School

Constructed in 2007, this new award winning, two-story classroom building, designed by Bill Gould Design, is located at a prominent corner of San Jose’s distinctive Willow Glen shopping district. The non-foreboding metal sculpture entrance gate provides security in an urban setting. The sun dial above the gate is evocative of the notion that education should be and is a beacon of light sending forth bright students in much the same way as the multi-directed metal sun rays radiating above the gate’s sun sculpture.

Lincoln High School, Modernization and new Buildings, San Jose, CA

The modernization scope renovated the Theater Building, while the new construction included a new two story classroom building, a new storage building, and two unique sculptured free standing steel framed shade entry structures.

Lawson Middle School, New Classrooms, Administration, and Gym, San Jose, CA

Collings Middle School

This original site of the old Collins Elementary School was converted to this new Lawson Middle School with the addition of three new building. The original school buildings were modernized within Hohbach-Lewin’s scope of work.

Los Gatos High School, New Science and Classroom Buildings, Los Gatos, CA

Los Gatos High School

Various new structures were designed for this campus expansion. They include a new two-story laboratory classroom building. Other cornerstone structures include the expansion of the locker rooms and other some ancillary support spaces. Modernization of the original two-story historic school building was provided to satisfy life safety performance goals with minimal impact on the architectural fabric of this classic structure.

Zanker Elementary School, New Classroom Building, Milpitas, CA

Zanker Elementary School

This new 16,500 square foot building added 6 new classrooms to this school. Its saw-tooth contemporary style creates an interesting high volume in the interior spaces. Large clerestory and spyglass accent windows add to this building’s character.

La Entrada MS Gymnasium, Menlo Park, CA

This 10,000 square foot high school sized gymnasium was designed utilizing long span steel trusses for roof framing members and special concentric braced frames for the lateral system. The building also incorporated classrooms and teachers' offices. Construction was completed in December 2005.

Iron Horse MS Gymnasium- San Ramon USD, San Ramon, CA

Iron Horse Gym

The Exterior walls for this new 12,000 sf gymnasium includes pigmented split faced CMU block. The roof in framed with exposed long span steel trusses. This jointly funded new middle school gymnasium will serve the needs of both the school and the surrounding community.

Fremont High School Modernization & Expansion, Sunnyvale, CA
