This four-story steel framed medical office building includes ambulatory surgery facilities and opened in the fall 2007. The structural system includes concrete fill over metal deck supported by steel framing. The design included a future fourth floor build-out. The lateral load resisting system is special concentric steel braced frames.
The project was designed to LEED “Silver” certification standards and received the Mayor’s First Bold Step Toward Sustainability Award.

This contemporarily two-story office building will be built for Premier Properties also of Palo Alto to manage. The structural system includes a hybrid of steel framing and CMU walls. A large roof top garden includes a large skylight.
Hohbach-Lewin has provided full structural engineering design services for the renovation of this new, 3-story steel framed office building, constructed over 2 levels of subterranean parking. A mat slab foundation serves to economically distribute loads to the underlying soil. Excavation shoring was shotcrete and soil nailing, while the perimeter basement walls are shotcrete braced by the steel floor framing. The superstructure is steel framed with a steel moment frame lateral force resisting system utilizing efficient W27 columns. Hohbach-Lewin served as part of a design-build team led by Vance Brown.
This new 35,000 square feet medical office building is located adjacent to the Union City BART station. It was designed in steel with a subterranean parking garage. The total construction cost was $5 million.

The new RideSource building developed by Lane Transit District (LTD) is multi-purpose in function by providing office space, shop space for vehicle maintenance, and break facilities for drivers. The structure is a testament to sustainability: The site design routes all storm water from roofs and paving to bio swales for treatment and detention before entering the City’s storm water system.
