This Mixed-Use Hotel/Retail complex Opened in Spring 2008. It includes a 50,000 sq ft Retail Mall over a 40,000 sq ft subgrade Parking Garage. The main feature is the 90,000 sq ft 3-story Hotel Building that faces the Pacific Ocean. The site also includes two detached retail/restaurant buildings. The Retail Center includes a full building length atrium skylight framed in structural steel tube sections. The majority of the building is supported on a post-tensioned concrete slab lid covering the parking garage. The Hotel is designed entirely in light gauge steel. The construction cost is approximately $30M.
Local planning modifications and site adaptation was provided for this National Hotel chain after the pro-typical hotel was designed. Construction was completed at sites in Vacaville and Elk Grove. Type V wood framed construction founded on continuous strip footings was the model. The site includes a structurally separate wood framed entrance portico and lobby with concierge station.
New attractions are designed and installed prior to each summer season. A few years ago they included the Beach Club Village, The Lazy River Ride and the Slide Tower.
